Chef Lau Wai Keung

At the helm of House of Roasted Duck is Executive Chef Lau Wai Keung, a native Hong Konger with close to 40 years of local and overseas experience. Previously Barbecue Cook No. 1 with The Excelsior Hotel & Convention Centre Hong Kong, Chef Lau is a roasted delights connoisseur who is set to wow the crowd at Bugis Village and Sultan Plaza with his signature dishes.

SIGNATURE DISHES

Peking Duck (Whole)

Roasted Duck and Peking Duck are perennial favourites in Hong Kong and are our signature dishes. For the Peking Duck ($52++ for whole), the crispy skin is sliced off in perfectly thin slices with minimal meat, which are then wrapped in hand-made flour crepe and eaten together with our special dipping sauce. The crispy skin promises to melt in your mouth.

Peking Duck - 2 Styles (Half)

Featuring a combination of both our signature Peking Duck and Roasted Duck, Duck lovers who want to enjoy the best of both worlds can savour our Peking Duck – 2 Styles ($52++ for whole).

Four Heavenly Kings Platter

The Four Heavenly Kings Platter ($46++) comprises of our 4 signature roasted delights – Crispy Roasted Duck, Soy Sauce Chicken, Barbecued Pork and Crispy Roasted Pork. Roasted delights lovers can satisfy their craving for all these roasted delights in one serving.

Embark on a nostalgic trip to old Hong Kong with this authentic dish – Roasted Pork Belly Roll with Taro ($8.00++), featuring a unique combination of smooth and chunky taro, wrapped with tender and juicy pork belly slices that have been roasted to perfection. Each bite into this delectable dish brings absolute delight. Popular during the 1960s and 1970s, this traditional dish can hardly be found even within Hong Kong itself.

Seasoned with our chef’s special marinade and finished with a perfect coating of honey, the Barbecued Pork Belly ($16.00++) is one of our star dishes that is roasted till it’s juicy and tender. Every mouthful has a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Inspired by the legendary dish “黯然销魂饭” that won the culinary challenge in the movie <<食神 The God of Cookery>>, this famous dish – Rice with Barbecued Pork & Fried Egg ($7.00++) that is popular among the locals in Hong Kong is now available at House of Roasted Duck. Served with savoury Barbecued Pork together with a perfect sunny-side up egg and a stalk of vegetables, every mouthful of this simple, no-frills traditional Hong Kong dish will literally blow your soul away.

Spicy, sour and extremely appetising is an apt description for the Spicy & Sour Soup with Vegetable ($8.00++), which contains a mix of Chinese cabbage and assorted meats that are boiled over a slow fire so that the soup is tangy and flavourful. This traditional dish is definitely not to be missed as it is not commonly found in Singapore.

Shrimp Wanton Noodle

Reminiscent of what you get from Hong Kong, another iconic must-try dish is our Shrimp Wanton Noodle ($7.80++ for Soup or Dry version). Freshly wrapped daily, the Shrimp Wantons are amply stuffed with shrimp and bits of pork to give it that delectable crunch. Boiled for 5 to 6 hours with a mix of premium pork bones and old chicken, the flavourful broth is perfect when eaten with our springy wanton noodles and paired with our homemade chilli sauce.

Congee with Abalone & Roasted Duck

Congee lovers will relish a bowl of piping hot Congee with Abalone & Roasted Duck ($12.80++ per bowl). Using premium calrose rice from Australia and fresh ingredients, all our flavourful Congee dishes are slow-cooked over a small fire for 3 to 4 hours to achieve its perfectly smooth texture.
